lazy

Ok, so we all know I am lazy, really lazy.  Which means I always wait till the last minute to do my school projects, especially when it is due Holy Week, and I have had crazy work busyness for the last few weeks.  On a side note, only stupid teachers schedule major projects to be due on Holy Week, its not like we are really busy!  Anyways, on this project I have to interview a person (not a leader) from a different religion and a different denomination and then write a paper on those interviews.  Its for my world religions class.  I have the denomination one done, but I can't seem to get an interview with someone from another religion.  I have called all these places and nothing is coming together, I did start last week, not today.  So, my request is this.  If you have a friend who is not a Christian and is involved in another religion (like a Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Jew, or other) could you find out if I could do a short (15 to 20 min) interview, in person if they live in DFW or on the phone.  It has to happen either today or tonight (mon night) or tomorrow some time.  If you can help me shoot me an email at neth1328@hotmail.com and we can trade phone numbers or something.  Thank you for your help my friends, and I shall try and post more often.

sucked in

So Monday nights are the nights I end up watching TV.  Other nights I have stuff happening so Mondays are my free evenings.  There is a lot of great TV on, but the worst show in world history is also on.  And to this day I don't understand why it gets such amazing ratings.  Every time it gets turned on it sucks me in and throughout the show I keep watching yet I keep thinking about how horrible the show is.  It is the great irony of my life that I end up watching it and still not liking it.  The show... CSI: Miami!  That is right the stupid David Carruso and his constantly taking on and off his sunglasses as he makes dramatic statements while looking off into the distance.  You have all of this stuff which over dramatizes everything.  I actually don't mind and even enjoy the other CSI's but this one drains my life force.  Carruso is far too intense for any normal human being, its like he is incapable of smiling or laughing (I have never seen it in the few episodes I have watched).  The other characters just worship him and are also too dramatic.  The problems with CSI are far too apparent in this show also.  Like Crime Scene people being the investigators and interviewers of suspects (a fact that makes my crime scene investigator friend laugh).  Or any number of other police things they do that don't really happen.  But how much can I complain becuase so often this show sucks me in becuase nothing else is on at 9 pm on Monday nights.  So stay away friends in hopes that you retain your humanity as mine is slowly taken away.

college football

The college football season is almost over and I have a few reflections from bowl season.  I love OU, and the Fiesta bowl was hard to watch, but I do have to admit that it was one of the best pure football games I have ever seen.  It was just plain crazy.  It does bother me a lot that we have lost three straight BCS games.  Anyways on to the main point in my post.

Notre Dame is considered to be the preminent college football program in America.  Many people say that they play the toughest schedule every year.  I assert that, that statement has been proven false over the last decade by the Notre Dame bowl results.  Over the last 11 years here are the results for Notre Dame bowl games

2006   LSU 41- ND 14, Sugar Bowl

2005   Ohio St. 34- ND 20, Fiesta Bowl

2004   Oregon St. 38- ND 21, Insight.com Bowl

2002   NC St. 28-6 ND, Gator Bowl

2000   Oregon St. 41- ND 9

1998   Georgia Tech 35- ND 28, Gator Bowl

1997   LSU 27- ND 9, Independence Bowl

1995   FSU 31- ND 26, Orange Bowl

In eight years they have not had one competitive bowl game, they have been blownout in every one they played in.  This is a vastly overestimated program, that does not deserve the attention it gets.  The team gets a good record by playing either bad programs or programs on a down slide.  When they play good teams they get killed.  I am biased because I do not like Notre Dame, and I never have.  I simply want you all to be aware that this overrated and outmatched program does not deserve the attetion it gets.  And I can't wait for college football next year.

Merry Christmas

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas this year, and as you celebrate remember the love of God that he would send down his son for us.  So that we may learn by his example, learn by his love, and learn by his sacrafice.  Our greatest gift ever came for us through the unending and unimaginable love of God our Father.  Merry Christmas everyone.
